Lenovo has come up with a light-weight, low-priced laptop Ideapad 100S, priced at Rs. 14,499 in India.

With a 11.5-inch screen, Ideapad is available in silver on Snapdeal.

It runs on Windows 10, and is powered by an Intel Atom quad-core processor. It weighs about 1kg and will come in handy for students.

It has a 2GB RAM and 32 GB memory. So hard-core gaming and running heavy-duty software is not up its alley.

The best part about the Ideapad, other than being cheap is that, it promises over 9 hours battery life. However, the system does heat up sooner than other laptops with similar components.

It comes with a HDMI-port, a power port, a card reader and an audio jack. There are two USB 2.0 ports. One would expect a latest release to have at least one 3.0 port, but that's one we will have to do without.

The 0.3 megapixel webcam wouldn't do justice for Skype calls or selfies. However, Ideapad comes with a Dolby Advanced Audio for good sound.

But for those on a budget and looking for something that can get their daily work done, this can be the pick.
