Apple has sent out invites for its first keynote announcement event of 2016 on March 21. Traditionally Apple sets up its launch event in the month of September but this year it has commenced earlier.
As always there are a number of speculations for Monday’s launch and it is widely expected that the tech giant will be releasing smaller display iPhones and a new model of iPad.
Apple iPhone 5 SE and iPhone SE
The new devices are likely to be called iPhone SE and iPhone 5SE, according to Cnet . These two models are expected to replace iPhone 5S and 5C models in the markets.
The rumoured iPhones are likely to bring back the old screen sizes of 4 to 5.5 inch display.
According to MacRumors , one of the largest forums for Apple-related news, the new iPhone may sport the design of iPhone 5 but with the curved edges, just like the new iPhone 6 series. It is also rumoured to run on the A8 processor, and the Touch ID feature could also be there.
A new range of Apple Watch bands
Apple posted an invite online that said “Let us loop you in” which hints towards a connection with Apple Watch that was launched last year.
The Silicon Valley company might release some new bands for Apple Watch, suggests MacRumors.
A new iPad model
There are speculations that the tech giant might also launch a new iPad model. It is expected to be a new version of iPad Air 2. According to MacRumors , the new iPad is expected to be thinner than iPad Air 2.
The new model is expected to sport a 9.7-inch screen. This iPad is expected to carry a connector for a keyboard just like the larger iPad Pro, reports Cnet . It will also be compatible to Apple Pencil, the stylus.
The new iPad is expected to carry the A9X chip which is also installed in the iPad Pro.
MacBook Air update
According to MacRumors , another product that is expected to come into the limelight is MacBook Air update, which will have a 15-inch display. It is also likely that the new updated version will carry a Retina screen.
