Two-day International conference on sexology begins

An international conference on sexology commenced here today with focus on sexual disorders and removal of misconceptions about sex.

Various experts across the globe including doctors, psychiatrists, social workers, marriage counselors and nurses are taking part in the conference.

The fifth edition of the two-day international conference is being organised by Indian Association of Sexology and Department of Psychology, Department of Anthropology and University of Madras.

Speaking on the occasion, seminar organising committee Chairman and Director of Indian Institute of Sexual Medicine (IISM) T Kamaraj said IISM had already submitted a proposal to the Centre to include sexual medicine in the medical curriculum.
