The Premier of South Australia province Mike Rann Monday offered Australia’s expertise on non—conventional energy to Delhi during his meeting with Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit here.
Accompanied by a delegation of six officials, Mr. Rann discussed a host of issues with Ms. Dikshit and said that out of Australia’s total energy supply, 20 percent is being procured from wind energy sources, a Delhi government statement said.
He further said that his country would like to provide all information and technology in the field of non—conventional energy, including solar and wind energy.
Mr. Rann also told Ms. Dikshit that South Australia, along with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has agreed to set up a water institute in Delhi with an aim to conserve water and reduce its wastage.
