REGAL LOOK: The venue for NATO's 2008 Bucharest summit, the vast, lavish `Palace of the Parliament,' commissioned by Romania's communist leader Nicolae Ceausescu, was still incomplete at the time of his violent overthrow and execution in 1989. Claimed to be the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon in Washington DC, the 12-storey mockclassical edifice was begun in 1984, and measures 240 by 270 metres comprising 1,100 rooms, including a 100-metre-long lobby.
