4) Cracks in cement can be sealed with a coating of watery cement solution after wetting the surface.

5) Edge thickness of minimum 150mm for footing and salts should be provided.

6) Reinforcement should be designed for the load and moment requirement.

7) Clear cover should be 75mm from corrosion prevention point of view.

8) Unless special calculations are made for the eccentricity, the footing should be symmetrical

with respect to column / wall axis.
