We don’t want midnight freedom,
we want only a little space on the earth;
where we should feel fearless.
We don’t expect much;
what we want is,
a little bit of understanding.
Feel our soul, not our body,
‘cause wounds on body may heal,
but not wounds to the soul.
Treat us as yourself,
not necessarily as goddesses;
what we expect from you is,
a little bit of co-operation
I am not a feminist,
nor interested in women’s lib;
I am only a fellow human being,
So let me live in this world,
along with you.
