Been grateful enough for it all?

If you haven’t been, be so now. You'll get priceless returns for it

Do you think you’ve been grateful enough?

Have you ever thanked people for their good deeds? Have you apologised for your bad deeds? Have you thanked you parents for their words and acts of endearment? Have you thanked them for the sacrifices they made for your sake? Have you thanked them for their care and affection? Have you said sorry if you’d hurt them in some way? Have you said sorry for all the trouble you’d have caused? Have you comforted them when they were miserable? Have you walked up to them and said, “I love you”? Have you wiped their tears and said, “I will take care”? Have you told them you will make them proud? Have you thanked them for everything they’d still do for you?

If you haven’t, please do it now. This very moment.

Have you ever thanked your friend for entertaining you? Have you thanked your friend just for being your friend? Have you thanked your friend for making you happy? Have you thanked friends for spending their valuable time with you? Have you thanked your friend for being with you during hard times and happy times? Have you said sorry if you had ever saddened your friend? Have you said sorry for thoughtless words? Have you thanked your friend for being understanding?

If you haven’t, please do so now. Your friend would be surprised.

Have you thanked your teachers for teaching you? Have you thanked them for helping with your doubts? Have you thanked them for excusing you for your lack of punctuality? Have you said sorry for the misery you sometimes caused them? Have you said sorry for not scoring as they expected? Have you said sorry for not fulfilling their expectations? Have you said sorry for your imperfections? Have you thanked them for guiding you all the way?

If you haven’t, please do it now. They would love to hear it from you.

Have you thanked your neighbour for not disturbing you at times, and helping when help was needed? Have you thanked your milkman for dropping milk every day? Have you thanked your newspaper boy for delivering your dailies in the manner you wanted? Have you thanked the vendors who bring you groceries? Have you thanked the bus driver who drops you where you need to be dropped? Have you thanked the shopkeepers for having things which you are in need of? Have you thanked the doctor who treats you? Have you thanked anybody who had provided you the things you needed for your sustenance?

If you haven’t, please do so now. They would in return give you back a smile, which will be really priceless.

Do you feel grateful now? I don’t hope so. Gratefulness sometimes sounds insane, but it really isn’t. It is a way in which an individual could gain joy. This joy makes your heart as light as a feather. I think your life would be simply empty without these adorable people in your life. Without them being a part of your life, your life wouldn’t be a life.

Feel grateful that you have these people in your life. Feel grateful for having parents who could do wonders to make you happy. Feel grateful for having a friend you can find nowhere else. Feel grateful for having teachers who are the sole reason for what you are now. Feel grateful for having such wonderful people around you who help you, when you need them the most. Feel grateful for being a part of this beautiful world. Feel grateful for just being who you are.

Indeed, gratefulness defines who you are.
