I have been a devoted reader of The Hindu for about 60 years. The bond between me and the newspaper has always been strong. Since 2006, when the post of Readers Editor’ was created, there has been a marked improvement in the newspaper. More than anything else, the bonding between The Hindu and its readers has become intensely personal. I wish Mr. Panneerselvan a fruitful tenure.
