UPA and 2014

May 17, 2013 12:12 am | Updated November 16, 2021 12:36 pm IST

It is sickening to see the UPA government in publicity overdrive on the lines of the NDA’s “India Shining” campaign in 2004 (“Unburdened Congress goes on the offensive,” May 16). UPA II has not done anything of note. Its only claim to fame are the unprecedented corruption and unbridled support to the corporate sector at the expense of the poor and marginalised sections. The campaign will only aggravate the revulsion among the aam aadmi against an insensitive regime that cares little for the poorer sections.
