The editorial “Mubarak in his true colours” (Feb. 4) is right in saying that the Egyptian peoples' uprising is showing the world that this highly prized western ally is utterly devoid of legitimacy. The turmoil across West Asia shows that the people of the region are sending out a clear message to dictators and repressive regimes.
