Stalking women

August 10, 2017 11:52 pm | Updated 11:52 pm IST

The case has yet again highlighted the problem of harassment, but this time it wasn’t an ordinary girl who was the target (“Stalking accused arrested again”, August 10). If a girl from such a privileged background can be chased and harassed, imagine someone less privileged who travels by public transport? The police reached the spot on time and arrested the stalkers, but they were quick to hush up the matter when they came to know the background of the accused. This shows how our system is corroded from top to bottom.
