Shrinking space

It is indeed a sad development that the space for cartoons in newspapers is shrinking (“It’s serious: space for cartooning shrinking, May 6). Cartoons are part and parcel of journalism and it is unfair to view them in isolation. Their creators need liberal space to express their opinion on the happenings in the country.
