Shameful

Ilavarasan’s tragic death in the so-called cultured and catholic State of Tamil Nadu is certainly shameful and does not speak well of the broad-mindedness for which Tamils are known. Whether his death was caused by murder or suicide is another matter but it certainly brings disrepute to the State where love is glorified in literature, poems and films. We say India is a country of non-violence and tolerance but it is here that murders in the name of honour and suicides due to endless persecution take place. India stands exposed as a country of hypocrites who do everything that is against what they preach.
