Scourge of terrorism

March 25, 2010 11:37 pm | Updated November 18, 2016 08:17 pm IST

Justice V.R. Krishna Iyer's call for unity among all religions to fight terrorism (“Facing up to Taliban threats”, March 25) is timely. His appeal is aimed at not only the Taliban, which has been indulging in mindless killing of even fellow-Muslims, but also fanatics from all religions. No religion preaches violence as a panacea for all ills afflicting society. Soon, the Taliban with its cult of violence and barbarism will be defeated hands down by the forces that swear by human values and morality.
