Save Vikrant

The report, “Campaign to save Vikrant revived” (April 10) brought back memories of the time when thanks to my uncle who was in the Navy, I was fortunate enough to visit India’s first aircraft carrier when she docked at Chennai in 1977. It was a great experience for me, a schoolboy, to see aircraft landing and taking off from her deck. One only hopes that the campaign to save this magnificent ship succeeds.
