Saeed’s release

Hafiz Saeed’s release (“Lahore court quashes 2 cases against Saeed,” Oct. 13) is a cause for global concern. From media reports, it is clear that the Lashkar-e-Taiba’s infrastructure is increasingly being used by the al-Qaeda. It constitutes a threat to Europe and the U.S. and the rest of the international community.

Pakistan has been playing a game of hide-and-seek over the violence perpetrated against India from Pakistani soil. The international community should pressure Islamabad to act against Saeed. The LeT’s continuing acts of violence against India have been connected to the Pakistan government.
