President’s speech

January 29, 2014 12:45 am | Updated May 13, 2016 12:56 pm IST

The President rightly said (“Decoding the President’s address”, Jan. 28) that the rage on the streets, leading to “populist anarchy”, will abate on the day governments deliver what they were elected for: social and economic progress. Young Indians will not tolerate a trust deficit between state and citizen. Every vote solicited must come with the caveat, “perform or perish”.
