Pakistan situation

December 07, 2009 12:30 am | Updated 12:30 am IST

The cartoon (Dec. 5) depicting a series of bomb blasts at regular intervals in Pakistan, the latest being a suicide attack in a mosque on Friday, was timely and appropriate. Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani and President Asif Ali Zardari seem to be least perturbed at the lawlessness in their country. Unless they implement a serious action plan to abort the Taliban’s evil designs to disrupt peace in Pakistan, the day may not be too far when the Taliban will take over the reins.
