Misplaced sympathy

May 09, 2010 11:47 pm | Updated 11:47 pm IST

This has reference to a letter writer's suggestion that Indians should be kind-hearted to give Mohammad Ajmal Amir Kasab a chance to reform himself. Further, the blame for his acts had been put on the doors of masterminds elsewhere because Kasab was only a pawn in their hands. Is Kasab the pawn's life worthier than of those who fell to his bullets? That is misplaced sympathy indeed! Uphold dharma and punish those who are disloyal to the soil.
