Israel & Pakistan

Saif Shahin’s analysis “Separated at birth” (Aug. 30) is brilliant and very convincing. I would point out to one more similarity between Pakistan and Israel. Since birth, both have been propped up by the U.S. and the West. Palestinians received extreme hostility and other Arabs roses, with the would-be-wealthy ones even royal treatment. India may have received some material support but it received only political hostility and even disdain in the international arena from the U.S. and the West.

There is one more point of similarity with a huge difference. Both Israel and Pakistan have resorted to state sponsored terror and violence on their opponents’ soil. The difference is that Israel limited its target and area and scale of operation while Pakistan, with uncontrolled frenzy, has been targeting the entire world.
