It is unfortunate that the law intern has changed her mind and decided not to pursue her charge of sexual harassment (Nov. 19). Was it a U-turn under pressure, a fear of disclosure of her identity and the worry of social stigma? Moreover, once a crime has been reported, any backtracking by the complainant would not result in the closure of the case. On the contrary, it would amount to maligning the high institution, by way of making irresponsible accusations.
