Hyderabad violence

March 31, 2010 10:30 pm | Updated 10:30 pm IST

The latest disturbance following clashes between two communities over a trivial issue leading to the imposition of a curfew in Hyderabad is not only condemnable but also makes one wonder if there is effective governance in Andhra Pradesh. It is a shame that such dastardly acts are continuing despite tall claims by the government that the conspirators will be caught soon.

K.R. Srinivasan,

Secunderabad

There is a feeling that the disturbance was engineered by vested interests within the ruling party to destabilise the government. The spread of violence beyond the communally-sensitive areas vindicates this.

C.N. Parthasarathy,

Hyderabad
