It is strange and startling that George Stinney’s conviction and execution were completed all within a span of three months (“Teenager executed in 1944 held innocent,” Dec.19). The current judgment is likely to anger the African-American community and add to its reservations about the country’s justice system. The fight for justice by Stinney’s siblings proves that truth ultimately triumphs.
