Four-year degree

May 06, 2013 01:30 am | Updated 01:30 am IST

This refers to the articles by Jayati Ghosh (April 29) and Chandrachur Singh (May 4) on the introduction of the four-year degree programme by Delhi University. The course provides a choice-based credit system, an option to students for an early exit and exposure to societal needs through foundation courses. It has many components of the four-year course followed in American universities. All those interested in making higher education more meaningful should support Delhi University for its bold initiative.

S.P. Singh,

Kurukshetra

A four-year degree programme will be a boon to those who opt for Masters in universities abroad. Human mind does not accept any change initially but welcomes it after some time.

Vathsala Jayaraman,

Chennai
