The writer seems to be presenting conflicting points of view in her article, “For an unfettered Internet” (Feb.18). She talks about real-time decision-making and, in the same breath, seeks the participation of all stakeholders — from the common Internet user to the intellectual class. These two things cannot go hand in hand. One has to find a middle path, or, in bureaucratic terms, muddle through. The layman user and the intellectual will always have a difference of opinion on this. This question needs to be answered before thinking about a measure of collaborative decision-making.
