While there has been overwhelming protest against the arrest of two young women for their Facebook postings expressing their opinion on the Mumbai bandh following Bal Thackeray’s death, neither the media nor the judiciary has raised its voice in any significant manner against the hooligans or the organisations they represented for pressuring or even threatening the police into this outrageous action. They were the primary sponsors of the whole episode. While some policemen have been suspended, what action has been taken against the persons/organisations responsible for forcing them to arrest the young women?
