Enter, Fadnavis

The election of Devendra Fadnavis as the leader of the Maharashtra BJP Legislature Party is the first step towards the formation of a BJP-led government in Maharashtra. There are bound to be hurdles placed in his path as the Shiv Sena is now playing hardball and the NCP has revealed its opportunistic stance in the none-too-clear picture of political groupings in the State. One only hopes the BJP is able to provide a corruption-free and transparent administration. Maharashtra deserves a good deal after decades of maladministration as it is a State that has tremendous potential.
