Court order to Mallya

April 09, 2016 01:32 am | Updated 01:32 am IST

The Supreme Court’s order to Kingfisher Airlines Chairman Vijay Mallya to disclose under oath the assets he holds (April 8) is some consolation to the taxpaying public that the wealthy cannot escape the long arm of the law. Many of us have been dismayed by the way poor farmers have been treated after they have defaulted on loans, an example being Balan of Tamil Nadu who was ill-treated by bank officials. One waits to see what happens on April 21, which is reasonable enough time for the businessman to submit all details.
