The right to usher in a new party or re-elect the existing government rests with us. It is we who decide who is good for us. But the truth also lies within us — can we the people of India be less corrupt? This will help build India, our infrastructure, our science and technology and our economy. The major problem is systemic corruption, where most of us have accepted personal gain as the norm.
The way forward lies in engaging with one another in the Indian administrative structure to serve ourselves better. This could be in the form of helping our politicians to make the right policies for us and integrating ourselves with global structures. While our elected political parties will project a growth policy based on their ideologies, we should cease being spectators and become active participants.
