Certainly not fraud

I agree “Not all jugaad is fraud” (June 19). In my mind, jugaad has always been associated with ingenuity and imagination. One example is the chakdo , a tricycle made from tractor and bicycle parts, with bright paint and paper streamers of many colours, carrying 10 to 15 men, women and children (and possibly a couple of goats). It’s a wonderful sight as they wave us off with smiles. Another use of the word can be found in a programme of the Barefoot College in Tilonia. Kabaad se jugaad is the section which uses waste material to make toys, diaries, files and even simple science equipment. Certainly, no fraud here.
