Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard’s forthright speech has evoked deep respect for her. The reason why men think that women are not capable of passing orders or leading people is that from a very tender age, the setting around a girl leads her to believe that she has to spend a life bound to her family. This can be changed only if educational reforms are brought in, especially when girls are young. It is time we stopped encouraging a patriarchal atmosphere.
