Body donation

May 23, 2011 12:28 am | Updated 12:28 am IST

Gulzar-ul Islam is right when he says that acts like donating one's body and organs are easier said than done (Letters, May 21). But is it also not true that all acts which have proved to be beneficial to humanity had to be reinforced time and again so that they could be made acceptable for the evolving human society? Should we not continue to raise issues necessary for removing human distress, even risking popular tradition, religious or otherwise?
