The media has blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party for paralysing Parliament by demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the coal blocks allocation issue. No one seems to understand that the BJP is right when it says the UPA government is using the ploy of parliamentary debate to legitimise its actions. A debate in Parliament would be a sheer waste of time.

V. Rajalakshmi,

Mumbai

Of late, reports of the Comptroller and Auditor General have become instruments in the hands of the Opposition to paralyse Parliament. The reports on the 2G scam and coal block allocation have not been discussed at all. They have only been used to obstruct Parliament, fill newspaper columns and dominate news on television channels. Our honourable MPs would do well to realise that the nation is greater than politics.

M. Xavier,

Vallioor
