Great picture

I would like to thank S. Subramanium for the beautiful photograph of Mary Kom carried on the front page The Hindu (Aug. 15). After seeing the ferocity of the woman athlete in the boxing ring, it was heart warming to see her other avatar as a graceful lady. I have no doubt that many women will be inspired by her and will excel in sports, academics and all fields which men call their own.

I thank The Hindu for the picture, which will be part of my collection, and which made the Independence Day perfect for me.
