Air safety

India’s aviation sector has seen a boom in the recent years but we have not paid attention to the security of air travel. We have seen many reports of how an air crash has been averted on many occasions in the past. There have been instances of allowing a plane to take off with another plane on the runway.

Though death is inevitable, carelessness has played a vital role in aviation deaths, as in the accident that claimed YSR’s life. Doubts have been raised on the airworthiness of the helicopter in which he travelled. It is also important to take the pilot’s advice on the weather conditions. Planes with VIPs should carry satellite telephones.
