Although there have been genuine concerns over the implementation of the Aadhaar scheme, we should not forget that the project can change the course of our nation (“Voluntarily mandatory,” Sept. 30). A strong database system and the revolutionary business intelligence concept can bring in efficiency, transparency and accountability.
There are forces that are bent on sacking the project due to the fear of accountability it brings in. The Supreme Court verdict is a golden opportunity for them. We, as responsible citizens, should stand by UIDAI in this hour of need.
