A lesson for Indians

Our political leaders should learn a lesson or two from the dignified speech by both Mr. Obama who won the election and Mr. Romney who conceded defeat. Congratulating Mr. Obama, Mr. Romney appealed to the people to work together. His words “At a time like this, we can’t risk partisan bickering and political posturing” were significant. For his part, Mr. Obama congratulated Mr. Romney on his spirited campaign.

Mr. Obama’s victory shows that he has instilled confidence in Americans by assuring them that the best is yet to come. Mr. Romney’s magnanimous address, assuring the President that he would pray for his successful tenure, is noteworthy.
