It was rather unfortunate for DMK chief Karunanidhi to react in a standoffish manner to questions from the media on the newly surfaced allegations against him in the 2G spectrum case. It is, nevertheless, understandable. The Kalaignar is facing a barrage of troubles of late, what with internal party instability. Still, he did raise a pertinent argument when he wondered why mediapersons were not asking Jayalalithaa about the disproportionate assets case.

The Aam Aadmi Party seems to be at its best when exposing cover-ups and propelling the anti-corruption movement. It should focus its energies on its best skills. Governance does not seem to be its forte. Hence, while its vigilante activity may not help it clinch power, it can certainly raise the party up to be an impeccable opposition party in Parliament.
