She is Bollywood’s edgy new face. But actor Kangana Ranaut wants more than that. “I know some of my films have intense roles, many with similarities, but at least each role was different,” said Ranaut. “When you are an outsider, as I was, and did not have a father to buy remake rights, you choose from what you get. But now my new films will hopefully break that mould.” Recalling her early days Ranaut said there were days when she was “suicidal”. She may have won awards but claims her personal life was a mess. “Meditation and yoga finally calmed me down. At 22 I now feel 44 but that is much better than suffering. I know I was wild and edgy but now it’s changed. I am ready to take on the world.”
