His first venture into film production didn’t quite pan out the way he envisaged it. But that is certainly not going to deter actor-cum-producer Arshad Warsi, whose claim to fame will always be the lovable ‘Circuit’ in “Munnabhai”. He agrees it’s difficult to get away from the success of that role but realises that he should not get stereotyped. He is disappointed that his first production didn’t do well. “I don’t mind criticism but when critics rip apart a film on personal basis that hurts,” said Warsi. On the charges that the film was a Hollywood copycat, Warsi dismisses this as bunk. “I haven’t even seen the film in question. The only similarity between that and my film is the presence of a ghost, nothing else.” As if taking a cue from this Warsi has decided to be actor, director, producer for the next film. He admits that the next venture will have him “better prepared and able to decide on which areas to concentrate on”. Meanwhile he’s signed up on Twitter and like all celebs is “awed by its potential”.
