The picture is an apt representation of the current situation. There is
no scope of graver action any different from what we are undertaking at
the moment. A stern warning and retaliatory fire is the only solution,
the bluster from the Television media about the ceasefire violations is
unsettling the relations that have been formed since 26/11. The path to
peace is a treacherous one, caution and steadfastness is the only way
get there. But, sensationalism and jingoism is only going to inflate
egos and not pave ways towards a solution. The media has to be given due
credit for playing watchdog with a number of issues. But, the power of
the media must be looked at as a double edged sword, bilateral relations
and negotiations between nations is a needling task, and a TRP war
between a few private news channels could cause all that to bite the
dust.
Rest in Peace, the soldiers who were martyred.
