It's sad to see this cartoon.
The Hindu is a very responsible newspaper.
It should focus on the cause.
We must get the strong Lokapal Bill and Anna Ji is leading us.
absolutely this seems to be so funny.
I don't understand why Media is looking at the other side of coin? Why
is Media portraying Anna's fast as ineffective? Anger and depression
against corrupt politicians is in every educated citizen of India. We
are the one on the suffering side. We pay our taxes to government only
to find it being misused. The movement is much supported by every
individual and its intensity should not be judged merely by number of
attendance in Anna's fast venue. Look at the FB site of IAC how active
it is. By showing all over the news, that Anna's fast in weakening,
media is imposing a negative impact on public by lowering down its
moral to fight against corruption. Why cant it be seen in a way that
politicians has turned a deaf ear towards movement but that hasn't
still stopped Anna from fighting? Why isn't he portrayed as a
rebellion instead of weak leader.
True, in a liberal democracy,these sorts of movements are not going to work. We are not in a British raj anymore,ruled by colonialists. In a democracy such as ours, the only way to fight corruption is by being a part of it.
A great leader Anna Hazare, fighting for the cause of the nation. And feeling proud to see such a support along with him. Hope, the cause will succeed.
His fast will not lead to thins himself rather leading to a thick democratic power and developing a healthier environment.
Really it is disappointing cartoon ...Instead of Media is focussing on
the cause raised by team Anna...Thay are concentrating on number of
audiance...Media and people of the country should join Team Anna to
ensure This time Jan Lok Pal bill will pass...So that our future
generation can live peacefully and our county will run on the path of
progress...
There is a limit for these unnecessary hunger-strikes.Mahatma,a great soul utilised it to liberate our country from the clutches of Beitish,and to reprimand the erring follwers.But Anna Hazare is no Mahatma,nor his coterie are above suspicion.When he called for a hunger strike for the first time there was overwhelming support from the public. The maanner in which he and his followers conducted themselves,the supporters are also wary of them and the crowd thinned.Hunger-strike is a noble weapon.It should be used with restraint.If you overindulged in it it will become farce and an event of ridicule.

It would be funny if it weren't so sad - for all those who prefer to
bury their heads in the sand!
Excellent and it says it all ! Just the reverse to what Gandhi achieved
with fasting. Proves his "issues" stand irrelevant and pointless to
masses.
