A sentence in >“The right to choose” (Editorial, July 16, 2013) read: “ Seven countries in the region still endorse a blanket ban on abortion …” Actually, there are only six countries in Latin America that have a blanket ban on abortion.
The third paragraph of >“Challenge CAG appointment in HC, Supreme Court tells Gopalaswami” (July 16, 2013) read: “In the first petition, the former Chief Election Commissioner, N. Gopalaswami, and either other eminent citizens, said: …” It should have been eight other eminent citizens. It was an editing error.
“India will need … 835 MTOE of coal by 2013-32 versus current consumption…” read a sentence in the report, “Expert questions claims on energy self-sufficiency” (July 15, 2013, some editions). It should have been 2031-32 .
