A reader wrote to say that the report, “ISRO mulls launching 65 satellites for a slew of uses” (Jan. 10, 2018), erroneously referred to GSAT-7A as an Indian Navy satellite. On the contrary, it is meant for the exclusive services of the Indian Air Force, the reader said. The correspondent’s response: Defence sources confirmed that the communication satellite GSAT-7A would be for not one but all three forces.
