>>A sentence in the third paragraph of “The bandwagon effect” (From The Readers’ Editor column, Sept. 16, 2013), read: “But, a substantial … election is for 534 different constituencies, ...” It should have been 543 different constituencies.

>>The full form of HFCs is hydrofluorocarbons. It is not hydrochlorocarbons as given in “The business of climate change” (Sept. 12, 2013).

>>A sentence in a letter that appeared under the headline “ Love ‘jihad’ “ (Sept. 12, 2013, Letters to the Editor) read: “According to Islam, luring a na-mahram (people you can’t marry) is haram (prohibited).” The letter writer, Tanzeem ul Hasan, has written to clarify that namehram means all women one can marry.
