The penultimate sentence in the Business page report, “Microsoft offers Nokia fund help to pre-pay debt” (Sept. 8, 2013), read: “The firm was renamed Nokia Systems and Networks.” It should have been Nokia Solutions and Networks.

Some errors had crept into the graphic that accompanied “Demographic dividend at its peak” (Sept. 7, 2013). The bar graph corresponding to 25-64 age group: for 2011, it should have been 44.24 % not 9.20 %; corresponding to 65-100 age group: for 2011, it should have been 5.47 % ; not 5.476.

A note in the graphic on Op-Ed page, “All heated up” (Sept. 5, 2013), read: “Energy left on Earth is called radioactive forcing.” It should have been radiative forcing.

It is the policy of The Hindu to correct significant errors as soon as possible.
