A sentence in “Foetuses learn, memorise words” (Oct. 17, 2013, Science & Tech) read: “Of the five senses — sight, touch, smell and sound — it is sound that comes largely from outside the womb.” The author of the article clarifies: “The fifth sense is taste . But that too cannot come from outside the womb.”
