>>The report, “ >Thiruvalluvar finds no welcome in Haridwar ” (July 18, 2016), had attributed a quote to the Shankaracharya of the Dwarka-Sharda Peeth and said it had been endorsed by Jyotish Peeth’s Swaroopananda Saraswati. Actually, Swaroopananda Saraswati is the Shankaracharya of the Dwarka-Sharda Peeth and the Jyotish Peeth.

>>The report, “ >Imphal medical college offers a lifeline with free care ” (July 18, 2016, some editions), described the J.N. Institute of Medical Sciences in Imphal as the only government medical college in the State . It was an editing error. It should have been described as the only medical college run by the Stategovernment. The State also has another medical college – the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences – run by the Union Government.
