Time to start political dialogue: Omar

July 06, 2010 03:00 am | Updated November 07, 2016 11:13 pm IST - SRINAGAR:

Urging the Centre to start a political dialogue, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday said it was time to go to the root cause of the problem in Kashmir and address it with sincerity.

“While a dialogue has started between India and Pakistan at different levels, a political dialogue between the Centre and the different shades of opinion within the State must also start in right earnest and my government is ready to act as a facilitator for such a dialogue,” the Chief Minister told a citizens' meeting in Baramulla. He appealed to people to leave behind their personal agendas.
